Do you think caves are cool? How about antique cars? Do you like to ride horses? In this section we've listed just a few special adventures for you in Arkansas.

Airguns - Airguns from the 1700s and on are displayed at the Daisy International Airgun Museum.

Airplanes - In addition to the Aerospace Education Center, exhibits at the Arkansas Air Museum include vintage airplanes.

Automobiles - Historic automobiles are on display at Museum of Automobiles and the Vintage Motorcar Museum.

Arts and Entertainment - Live music and magic shows, religious dramas, art galleries, symphonies, dance and theater companies are listed in the "Attractions, Lodging, & Dining" section under the City Listings on Arkansas.com web site.

Band Instruments - The Band Museum's collection includes many unusual instruments.

Blanchard Springs Caverns

Caves - In addition to Blanchard Springs and Bull Shoals Caverns, there are six more caves open to the public in Arkansas. They are: Cosmic Cavern, Hurricane River Cave, Mystic Caverns, Old Spanish Treasure Cave, Onyx Cave and War Eagle Cavern.

Dolls - Significant doll collections can be found at Arnett's Doll Museum, the Pine Bluff-Jefferson County Historical Museum, the Gay Nineties Button and Doll Museum and the Arkansas State University Museum.

Fishy Spots - Besides the Norfork National Fish Hatchery, other federal hatcheries are also open to the public as is the state's Joe Hogan Fish Hatchery. The National Park Aquarium displays exotic fish.

Floating - In addition to the Buffalo National River, Arkansas has many streams suitable for canoeing and kayaking, varying from easy to difficult. Details on the streams and outfitters are available in the under the Canoeing/Rafting/Kayaking heading in the Outdoors Section of www.Arkansas.com.

History - Sites pertaining to Native Americans, pioneers, the Civil War and other special historical topics are listed in the "History & Heritage" section of the Arkansas.com web site. Additional history museums can be found in the "Attractions" section under each City Listing.

Lake Catherine State Park

Horseback Trail Riding - Horseback trail rides are offered by Brady Mountain Riding Stables, Castleberry Riding Stables, Mountain Harbor Riding Stable and River Front Trail Rides. Additional sites may be found by consulting the Yellow Pages and chambers of commerce in the area you are visiting,

Miniatures - Tiny Town features an outstanding miniature village.

Military - Thousands of items, from the Revolutionary War to Desert Storm, are included in the Veteran's Military Museum.

Railroads - Engine 819 and other rolling stock are on display at the Arkansas Railroad Museum. Miniature train rides are available at Creekmore Park.

Recreational Games - Go-karting, miniature golf, bowling, video arcades and other recreational opportunities are available at sites around the state. Some are listed in the "Attractions" section under each City Listing. Consult the Yellow Pages or chambers of commerce where you are visiting to inquire about other sites.

Spectator Sports - Catch Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball at Ray Winder Field and Arkansas RimRockers, an ABA pro basketball team, and Arkansas Twisters arena football at ALLTEL Arena. To learn about the sports history of the University of Arkansas's Razorbacks, visit the U of A Sports Museums.


In the northwest Arkansas hamlet of Eureka Springs, none of the streets cross at right angles and there are no stoplights in town.
